Very well maintained. Very clean floor thanks to frequent mopping. Their website doesn’t mention but there is wifi, there is a PC you can use for free but you can bring your own laptop/iPhon,iPad etc. Internet speed was not too slow. To my surprise, I could see BBC news (with bad sound) in my room.
The Single room (US$35) is small but I did not mind. Location-wise, it is not the best location, but you can still walk around. There are a bit more restaurants in the area, all are within 20 minutes walking.
I chose Burmese Breakfast, it is lovely. Also coffee served by pot is very much appreciated.
Whereas, meals they serve (lunch, dinner) are extremely expensive. I had a dinner at Classique Inn. It was a Chinese noodle but it costs US$8 ! The noodle was very tasty, but I would rather spend US$8 for something else (cheaper) at elsewhere + taxi to/from Classique inn. Actually, it won’t cost US$8, even if you take round-trip taxis just to have a Chinese noodle elsewhere.
If you have a taxi from airport upon your arrival, it costs US$10(one way) to get to city, as of Jan 2012.
I asked Classique Inn to arrange a tour to go to Bagan (1N/2D) The packaged tour included 2 ways (US$20) of taxi rides between Classique Inn and Airport. I just thought that US$10 would be standard price of one way to/from airport for tourists, no matter what. However, I found out a bit disappointing truth in the end of my trip. I actually stayed another hotel in Yangon in the same area and headed back to airport to catch my flight back to Singapore from the hotel. The hotel arranged a taxi for me but I paid only 4,000Kyat (about US$5) to head to airport. A bit disappointing to know that Classique Inn always charges US$10 for a taxi ride.
Other than that, Classique Inn is a beautiful place to stay, all staffs are very friendly and helpful !
