My family of six stayed at LeLagon resort for 3 weeks over the Xmas / New Year period and we enjoyed the best family holiday we've ever had. From the new General Manager ( Blandine) to our room maid (Janeth) the staff made our stay hassle free and nothing was too much trouble. Its not too many places you holiday where you get to know most of the staff and the entire management team and are able to socialise with them as we did which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff are all terrific, extremely friendly and will go out of their way to look after you. We used the all inclusive package which was easier for a larger family: breakfasts and evening meals at the Lagoon Terrace were of a high standard and the pool lunch grill menu was great. We dined at Wild Ginger restaurant a few times and the menu and food -awesome- especially the teppanyaki grill. I think the best thing about our stay was once you slip into island time and let everything happen when it happens ( no rush rush like everyday oz life) the lelagon and vanuatu experience should be had by all. A big hello to everyone at the resort if they read this review (I know Shankar will) . Our time at Le lagon was so good we booked our next holiday the day we checked out.

My wife and I just returned from an 8 night stay at Le Lagon. Our room was unclean and the air conditioner was not working. This can happen but it took two days and 5 requests before we were moved.We went to Wild Ginger restaurant - it took ages to get served and the lobster was overcooked. The smorgasboard was OK but very expensive [pub food at 3 star restaurant prices]. When we booked out it took one and a half hours to sort out the account.
HOWEVER the scenery is superb and the staff were very friendly. I think this is a great venue for families, not so much for older couples.
SUGGESTION management need to "pick up the ball" and remember that "It's the BIG things that get you there, but it's the LITTLE things that get you back"

I went there with my Mum in October 2008 and we both had a terrific time but the beach wasn't so nice.

Was thoroughly impressed by Le Lagon, I traveled there with my partner some time ago (November 2010) but after looking over photos at the weekend I felt compelled to write a review.

The staff were amazing and very accommodating, Freida at the pool bar certainly knows how to make a cocktail. The grounds were very well kept, even where construction was going on. The breakfast was excellent as to were the other dining options.

We had no problems with our bill. Our room was absolutely amazing, we were upgraded to one of the island suites worth spending the money, when we checked in the cleaners had forgot to make the bed, which took them all of 2 minutes and was a total non issue.

Loved all the water sports, borrowed some snorkel gear and a canoe and had a good hunt around for a few days. The prices of meals, drinks etc were pretty well on par with what you would expect to pay at a resort (beer etc cheaper in Port Villa as you would expect).

I would be hesitant to stay there in school holidays as a couple though as it appeared to be very family friendly. But that's the same pretty well everywhere in school holiday time.

Overall loved it and will be back again
