“Carp Is Amazing!!!! Fantastic Time was had by all”

Went to Carp Island Resort for 2 nights and 3 days recently and had the most amazing time there. Traveled with my husband, 4 year old, and mother in law and found almost everything about this place to be perfect. The island is pristine, the staff very friendly, dive guides were superb and the best dive sites are just about 10 minutes away!
I have read several reviews on here about Carps food not being that great and basic, I don't know what they are talking about!!!! We found the food to be excellent! Every meal was buffet style with fresh fish, shrimp, calamari, beef curry, chicken curry, the best sashimi I've ever had, tons of fresh fruit at every meal, salad, rice, soups, and more!!! I think I gained 5lbs in 3 days. The prices are reasonable considering where you are in the world. ( Breakfast is $10, lunch $15, Dinner is $25) One thing I loved is that they raise chickens and pigs on the island so the food is as fresh as it can be!
Cabins were very basic but lovely with attached bathrooms, large deck, and fans in the rooms since there is no A/C. Days were hot but the evenings were very comfortable with the fans going. I kind of relate it to luxury camping.
My only complaint is that I found the beds to be very uncomfortable, they are a wooden platform with a thick (3-4in) mat instead of a traditional mattress. Sleeping for me was pretty miserable but even that being said we WILL go back to the island since everything else was perfect and you cant beat feeling like you have a whole island to yourself!!!! Go for one of the sunrise cabins since there is a beautiful breeze on that side of the island.

“Paradise island good base for diving”

We went diving on Carp Island. It is a location you should only go to for diving, snorkling, canoeing there is nothing else to do. But if you come diving, you are sitting on top of the best dive spots of the world here.

The accommodation is clean but basic, most days no hot water but who cares with 30 degrees weather? Food is served by a buffet and the quality is good. Great sleep because there is no noise, nothing to do after 10pm till the first dive at 6am. And only about 30-40 people on the island.

What is important is that there is possibility to go diving 4 times a day if you like. In the German Channel you can see manta rays from november till march/april. It is only 10-30 minutes from Carp to the best div spots of the world. Really, really perfect. The dive centre is ok, standard equipment, boats are the standard one in the region. They try to accomodate all wishes

“Most relaxing holiday ever!”

We just got back from Carp Island and had a fantastic time. The island is stunning, peaceful and located close to all the main dive sites. Dive guide was great and staff also fantastic.

Like many of the reviews mention, the food is definitely lacking a bit, which ordinarily would bother us but with the best diving we have ever seen and the most relaxing surroundings, it didn't bother us too much. However, there did seem to be a lack of inspiration and by day 3 we were already seeing the same lunches and dinners as we had been given before. Maybe most guests don't stay as long as we did! Food prices expensive for what you got but I guess they have to transport from the mainland....

All in all, a fantastic place to spend time. Would love to go back someday.

“perfect relaxing place”

I went there in Honeymoon for 3 days! the place is amazing, one of the best experience on my life!!!! Really! The resort is very simple and you fell home as the staff is very friendly ( a big hugh to Mathias and His wife!!!!) but in the other side the natur is pristine , the beach is all for you and the jungle too. The island is very particular, is a star shape! and you can go around, ( stronglu rreccomended!!!) but be careful to the high and low tide!!!! you fell INSIDE the nature, part of it! You can go dive or have kayak!!!
In front of the Isalnd there is Peliliu, one of the point of the Second War two battle's, and you can go to see the wreck......
the rooms are simple, clean and big

Cons: The water is very shallow and there are some green algs. There are no A/C. The food and the residence is too expensive respect to the quality, but are just details.....

if you want a relaxind and real " cast away" experience....go to CARP ISLAND RESORT!!!

“Getaway before college”

Carp Island Resort is a private island with a view of the outter rock islands and the state of Peleliu in the distance. With marked paths for nature hikes, kayak rentals, and a beach volleyball court (to name a few), there's never a dull moment. Area is very quiet and peaceful, grouds kept impeccably clean, and if the warm island breezes aren't enough for you, you have the option of renting airconditioned rooms. It was a blast!
