The rooms were surprisingly large, very comfortable and well equipped little kitchenette for in-room catering (eating out in Noumea is expensive and often disappointing). A few little quirks though: no tea-towel or dishwashing liquid to encourage guests to do their own dishes, notice about environmental practice regarding bath towels was never adhered (what a shame). We were unfortunate to be at Le Pacifique during school trips from Australia. Yes, the young ones took up entire floors and took great pleasure in slamming doors (in unison) late at night and early morning; no sleep ins ! Be warned, chemists close in NC from Saturday noon to Monday morning. The sole chemist on duty for the weekend could be outside of central Noumea, so come prepared as supermarkets and groceries store don’t sell headache tablets etc… Staff at reception gave us minimum service, may be because we were francophones ! I still recommend Le Pacifique for its location and easy access to town (bus stop just outside). .
