La Petite Maison in Paramaribo was a lovely surprise. Located right on the river (Waterkant), La Petite Maison is a well maintained old colonial building with pleasant and helpful staff. Apart from the mediocre breakfast, I can highly recommend this hotel and will defiintely stay there again if I return to Suriname.

Nice hotel in one of the colonial wooden houses on a top location in the old centre. Rooms are good with airco, tv, wireless. First floor has a terrace / veranda overlooking the river an the street. Bteakfast is buffet style in the small garden in the back. Staff is very helpfull. Since you are next to the Onafhankelijksplein, music can be loud and prevent you from sleeping. Take earplugs with you. Free entrance in the pool of the torarica hotel is included. Best bet if you stay in paramaribo

La Petite Maison, a cozy Bed & Breakfast Boutique hotel with friendly staff, warm hospitality and excellent service. The hotel is centrally located in the beautiful and historical area of Paramaribo, along the waterfront of the Suriname river.

La Petite Maison has the atmosphere of a pleasant, family driven bed and breakfast hotel with individual airco but no elevator. From arrival until the final departure we felt "at home" in La Petite Maison. We stayed several nights in La Patite Maison during our modular trip in Surinam. Every time it was a pleasure to return to our "basecamp". The staff was great, any request was fulfilled, The rooms were clean and the beds were (I just slept all night) good.
