From what I've seen in other reviews there aren't many other options in Georgetown so I can't complain too much...but this type of hotel is around $90/night in the US and I paid $120/night for 3 nights. Most of the hotel is very drab, but clean. I felt safe in the hotel at all times. There are no dining options walking distance...the hotel has a restaurant that is OK. The rooms seem refurbished but have absolutely no personality. Everything looks new...but the bare necessities. Internet connectivity is only in the lobby. The mosquitoes in the room drove me crazy all three nights despite my attempts to get rid of them.
Service at the reception was very lackadaisical while the service at the bar and restaurant was very friendly. The best part of the hotel is probably the pool deck and patio area...but the pool was closed...and the gym was closed. Keep in mind that this was around Christmas so people apparently shut things down in Georgetown...this is common I guess,
The location is central but I recommend taking a taxi everywhere unless you are accompanied or adventurous. Taxi's are very cheap and reliable. Make sure the hotel calls the taxi for you and keep that number. Use that company for your ride back.
I would try another place next time...
