In my 14 years of visiting and stay at hotels, guest houses and renting apartment in georgetown,guyana,my most favorite thing to do is to stay at friends hotel. the service is wonderful, the owners and staff are like your family away from home and you have your choice of dining in their beautiful dining area or preparing your own meals in the kitchenette apartments! it's basically in the heart of georgetown and everything is within walking distance plus the security staff always keep you aware of the do's and don't's on any given day.For those traveling alone or need a real home base to enjoy the exciting night-life of georgetown,friend's hotel is second to none yet everything including the prices are much reasonable then most hotels in the city.
The bourda market is just two streets up from the hotel,so if shopping is your thing,you can do it all on regent streets or camp,or in the market area
plus see the sights, meet the people and have a fun time with everything you do!i would recommend friend's hotel and also friend's travel agency to anyone and know that they'll be well taken care of.
