We had been staying with relatives around the corner but conditions were cramped and tempers began to fray so we booked in here for our last 5 nights. Wish we had done it sooner! Wonderful old colonial building with very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is amazing, like something from the 1960's, and really pretty at night with the open courtyard and water feature, and the food excellent and reasonably priced. My son is a chef so we can say this with confidence! The rooms are basically furnished with beautifully polished greenheart floors, but comfortable and in keeping with the climate. The AC was fine...kept the room a little too cool at times! The bathrooms are good and it was nice to have hot water. I am going to recommend this hotel to my friends who usually stay at The Pegasus...the only down side being that there is no swimming pool...but for a GY$400 taxi ride you can go to The Pegasus and join their swimming club for a reasonable price (I paid US$52 for a month). Many celebrities have stayed here, including Prince Charles, so it speaks for itself!
