The Richmond Suites in Bogota was so much more than what we expected! Staying over there was great due to many things that I will detail in this review:

Rooms: The room we stayed at had been recently renovated and was very comfortable. It had a kitchenette, plasma TV, mini living-room, and modern furniture. The bed was very comfortable.

Staff: The service that was provided was the highlight of the hotel. We were brought anything we wanted or needed, and the staff was available 24 hours a day. We had room service, hot tea, medicine, and an iron delivered only a few minutes after we requested each of these items. One funny fact about Bogota is that you can order medicine over the phone and the hotel will do this for you!

Amenities: The hotel has anything you would possibly need for a stay in Bogota. Free Wifi internet everywhere, room service, a restaurant, a business center, a spa, a flatscreen TV and lounge at the lobby, etc.

Location: The hotel is very well located, just a few blocks away from a chick part of the town called "Parque de la 93," or at least that is how the locals refer to it by. This is a very trendy spot with restaurants, bars, and lounges.

Some other reviewers had complained that the noise was unbearable, but frankly, we thought the hotel was pretty quiet. It is true that during the rush hour of the afternoon you might hear some cars honking, but we did not think it was a big deal.
Further, I want to highlight that the staff at the hotel is amazing! They can get you anything you need (yes, this includes an ironing board and an iron), you just have to ask. On top of this, they offer laundry service and dry cleaning service from very early in the morning until late in the afternoon. I believe this hotel is very well suited for business travelers as well.

I booked this hotel via my friend who happened to also happen to be an exguest of this hotel and gave a very favorable report. The room they put us into the first night although fine was too small for a weeks stay, the next day they moved us to a larger suite. The service was excellent in all deartements except the Spa. My partner who owns a Spa was very critical of the service given to her. We even dined in one night and the food was faultless. Taxi services to/from the hotel are organised by Luis, nothing was too much trouble. Recommended eyes closed.

This hotel is a great place to stay in.
The rooms are big, clean, the staff is courteous and helpful.
The location is also very good- easy access to many places and amenities

Overall, a wonderful experience staying at the Richmond Imperial Suites.
We really had a great time, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

I stayed here because I was required to by my job. It was five nights of pure torture.

1. This place is LOUD, LOUD, LOUD! Ear plugs do not help. If you're not hearing the traffic jam outside, you're hearing the other guests up all night talking and doing other things you'd just as soon not explain to your kids. I never slept more than two hours in a stretch. The adjacent night club is a real doozy on Friday nights.

2. You'll get charged extra for everything except the air you breathe. If they can find a way to charge you for that, they'll do that, too.

3. No iron or ironing board for business travelers.

4. The restaurant has a lot of potential, but the food would be so much better if they didn't drown it in sauce heavy enough to sink a ship. This happened with every dish I tried.

5. I had a cold shower on the first morning.

The staff was extremely polite, but that wasn't enough to make up for a poorly designed and poorly located facility. You'll have a better trip to Bogota if you stay somewhere else.
