this property occupies a limited niche: a cross between a budget hotel and a hostel. Pros: location, price, security, private rooms en suite, hot water. Cons: no kitchen, no wifi, not much in the way of common areas and conviviality. Most backpackers prefer to stay in the many hostels nearby; those wanting private rooms w/ bath will probably want something a bit nicer and warmer (like all of budget Bogota, there's no heating). This hotel has lots of space and seems to have plenty of vacancies, so a good backup if you arrive on a weekend and other places are full.

How lucky I was to find this great friendly place in the historic center of Bogota (La Candelaria).
The hotel is short walking distance to all museums and goverment buildings. Do not miss the Gold Museum ! ( Museo de Oro.)
Very clean and comfortable. The place even has its own restaurant (Kosher).
It was very affortable and safe, they will store your valuables for safe keeping free !, when I traveled out of Bogota they kept my laugage in a storage room for free.
Bed to share (4 beds in a room) cost me only 20,000 pesos (per person) including private bath.
They also have private rooms with TV and bathroom starting 45,000 pesos.
The lonley planet guide gave them a good review....I am happy I stayed there. Bogota was the highlight of my vacation!
