The hotel is located north of the city in a reasonably upmarket neighbourhood and right in the centre Zona G, Bogota's restaurant district.
The building and rooms are amazing. I stayed in a grand suite on level 4 facing north west. Apart from the usual, the room had wood panelling, open fireplace, large sofa and absolutely huge shower. I couldn't ask for more in this regard.
Unfortunately, like other guests, I found the service to be mediocre at best. A string of little things made the stay less than perfect. The car arranged to collect me from the airport was sent at the wrong time, the rate charged was different to that quoted (not by much) and every time I asked for something from the front desk it seemed like a great inconvenience. When I asked for the password for the wi-fi I was told to wait a few minutes - and it only seemed to work for one connection at a time. I didn't have any problem with noise, but I stayed on NYE (a quiet time in Bogota).
The other thing to note is that, while the hotel is in Zona G, it is quite a way from both the City Centre and other tourist areas, like Zona Rosa. You will be catching lots of taxis.
