I've always loved Embassy Suites atrium lobbies -- it feels open and relaxing.

I stayed there with 2 friends for 5 days during my birthday week. The first two days were fine -- we had 2 beds. However, they needed to do maintenance on our room and needed to move us to a room that only had 1 bed. It was a big inconvenience for us, since we still had 3 remaining nights. They offered a complimentary massage which was a good trade. The hotel was sold out, so I understand it was the only option I had. Other than that, our trip was great.

The Manager's Reception and complimentary breakfast was fantastic every single day.

Two staff members -- Christian and Jefferson really stood out and made us feel welcome, exactly how hospitality should be.

Front Desk staff was also friendly and accommodating.

Sauna and steam room was always empty, so we felt like it was ours.

The beds are super duper comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The decor could have been updated a little better in the suites, however the public areas were fine.

There are a lot of restaurants across the street and in the area with cabs conveniently waiting to take us where ever we needed to go.

If ever in Bogota, I'd probably stay again.

Normally, I'm not a fan of Embassy Suites, but this one seems an exception, and I do recommend it.

The staff are very friendly, helpful, and are eager to please. The hotel is located in the restaurant zone, so it's a short walk to many great restaurants. Breakfast is included in the rate, and it's great if you like fresh fruit or a continental breakfast. Room service is OK, but does not serve anything after midnight.

As for the rooms, they are suites - ie the bedroom is separate from the 'living' room, but they could have made better use of the space if it was a single open room - however, it does depend which room you get. It does get cold it Bogota, so the heater in the room comes in handy. Be aware, the walls are thin, and you can hear your neighbours!

Overall, it's a great 3-star hotel, in a wonderful location, with very helpful staff.

El hotel se encuentra bien ubicado, cerca de la Avenida 7 con 72. Habitación razonable, pero lobby, restaurant y bar pobre. Con lo cual es llegar dormir bien y nada más. Bussines y Fitness muy pobres.

I just returned from my second stay at the Embassy Suites. Well, since my last stay in July they still don't have heat or airconditioning. And, the room was very chilly. I asked what to do for heat and they brought up a portable space heater. I mean, really, I just paid $225 per night for this?? Based on my last stay, I think I was in a remodeled room. However, right in the middle of my shower wall was a 3 foot square patch job in the tile. Breakfast is included with the price. The omelets were great. But, outside of that the choices were very limited. I did eat at the restaurant one evening and the steak was too tough to eat. The staff are all friendly and always one able to speak English. I called two days before coming in to arrange for an English speaking driver for one day of meetings at various locations and the hotel had it all arranged and ready when I needed it. The location is outstanding with 6 or so restaurants within a 2 minute walk. Even with the location and friendly staff, this was just not an impressive stay at all. I will not be staying at this hotel again........especially with the new Hilton just 4 blocks away.
