As other user have said, this hotel is very-well situated on the beach and within walking distance to restaurants/shops/bars, and has a great restaurant within it with a kind and friendly waitstaff. However, my stay was majorly dissapointing. My party of 4 reserved the largest room, a suite 007 for three nights. It took me many weeks for Le Club to answer my emails to set up this reservation, which should have been my first sign to stay away, but the place got good reviews so I kept the reservation. Because they seemed a bit disorganized, I was sure to confirm several times via email and then phone a day before to make sure the room and dates were correct. When we arrived at the hotel to check in we were told that our room would be ready at 4pm and so we enjoyed lunch at the restaurant until then. We were then lead to two very small rooms that were in the middle of the restaurant that were not what I had booked. Upon asking the woman why I was being lead to these rooms when I had booked one large suite, she at first acted as if she did not know what I was talking about. When I said it in spanish, she then called over another peron working at the hotel who said that there was someone staying in the other room and we could move there tomorrow but not today. There was no apology. With no other option for rooms, we took what was offered to us. I live in a tiny apt in NY and when I go on vacation I purposefully reserve rooms that are larger so staying in a very small room with an incredibly small bathroom was not what I was invisioning for my vacation. But I was more upset with the fact that I had not been told there was a problem with my reservation until that very moment-there were many opportunities to let us know. The next day we checked to see when we could move to the room and were told that the man in the room refused to leave and had locked himself in, which was a total lie. We ended up talking to the man who was staying in the room we had booked and he told us that when he arrived they showed him the room and told him it was open for him to stay for the duration of his stay which was two weeks. So this leads me to believe that the hotel just wanted to fill that room for longer (the most expensive room in the place) to make more money and decided to just change our reservation without informing us. That is not any way to run a hotel. And I also witnessed another group of people being switched to a different room when they were checking in so this was not something that only happened to us apparently. It needs to be noted that an apology was never uttered from anybody at le club-neither in spanish or english-which to me is completely unacceptible and downright rude. Nor did they take responsibilty for what was ultimately their deliberate screwup. They just kept blaming it on the man in the room. And nobody kept us informed of the sitation, we had to keep checking up ourselves and getting no real answers. After the second morning it was clear we were not getting the room so we just decided to drop it and enjoy our time there but I was not happy with the way anything was handled. There was a man and a woman around all the time who I believe were the owners, however, they never got involved and trying to find out who was in charge of the hotel was impossible. While they did charge us a very fair rate for the two rooms they downgraded us to, I did not feel that makes up for what they did or takes the place of an apology. I think the owners of this place need to get it together, show more courtesy to their guests, and honor reservations that they confirm no matter what. Who needs to deal with that kind of nonsense on vacation? I certainly don't and I won't be going back.
