You couldn't wish for more helpful staff, the hotel itself is in need of a make over internally, which we were told is about to start.
Chose this hotel on price and location as we were visiting a relation who lives nearby. Perfect location as it was easy to get to the malls and corniche.
Only downside, with the bar on an upper floor, the door staff in the reception area could not control access well. Some guests seemed to have very young "niece's" which made for an awkward feeling in the lift.

The sands hotel Abu Dhabi is located right in the center of Abu Dhabi which is really nice if you are a tourist or outsider. Other then that its a good hotel but the rooms look quite outdated with a dull type of atmosphere.This hotel recently had an exterior renovation but the truth it it needs an interior renovation more then then the exterior.If you are ready to pay a bit more there are better hotels in the price range.

The Sands is a great all-round hotel found a few blocks back from the waterfront in downtown Abu Dhabi. My partner and I spent around 4 nights there and was impressed with the hotel facilities and particularly the quality of the service.

It appears that the hotel has had some renovations made to it in recent times and has lifted the atmosphere of the hotel enormously. The rooms are clean, relatively modern, and have fresh carpets. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff was consistently very high and together with the building upgrades is knocking on the 5 star quality door.

Thanks to the staff at the Sands.... we had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Sands Hotel is one of my favorite hotels in Abu Dhabi coz it's very nice, clean, the staff are friendly and accommodating, food is great and the place is in the center of the city, so what can you ask for... Perfect Hotel for everyone :)
