This hotel was rated as a five star hotel and the rating was right-on. It was a pleasurable stay and I will stay there again, if the opportunity arises.

We arrived quite late from Dubai, but the welcome at reception was very pleasant. We were given a room on the 28th floor with a stunning view of the city. The room was excellent, with everything. We ordered room service as we were too late to dine in the restaurant. The service was top quality. The swimming pool is on the roof, very nice. Reception staff were very helpful.
I recommend this htoel above all for its ideal location, next to Al Wadha Mall shopping complex. It is easy to reach from the airport and close to the centre.

Big hotel, with spacious rooms, comfy beds and lots of mod cons. Restaurant choice was rather limited - the hotel didn't have an alcohol licence at the time of our visit (not sure whether this has yet been resolved), so a number of the restaurants were not open.
We booked a club room, and made good use of the lounge, but were always the only 2 guests in there, which felt a little uncomfortable.
The design of the hotel was such that there was a walk along a narrow, relatively blank corridor from the lifts to breakfast, which again was a bit odd.
We only ate breakfast in the hotel, but that was superb - a very wide selection of items, and good efficient service.
I think it would be a great choice for a business trip.

because of the terrible delay and mix up at check in, the duty manger at 2am, upgraded our 2 connecting room reservation to a 2 bedroom apartment which was WOW!! the room was huge, internet was fast with a very well equipped kitchenette. The staff was very helpful and polite (except the coffee shop staff, they were a bit curt and impatient). The hotel is conveniently connected to Al-Wadha mall, which in itself is a great mall to shop and hang out in. On our next trip to Abu Dhabi, we're sure to stay at The Grand Millennium.
