The hotel's design inside and out is wonderful, playful, functional and unique. The interior halls are like a living Rothko. It makes it even sadder that the execution of such great design ideas are realized with the cheapest most toxic furnishings. It's like walking into a cheap carpet store. Soon after check-in my throat and nasal passage began to swell and itch. We went out by the pool to breath. But back in the room, after setting out some things on the desk, i noticed a rash up to my elbows from touching the wood. Then i had a look at bath amenities which included talc and mouthwash from China! China? Does anyone read the papers? By the bed were two night tables with big hanging lamps set at a level that guaranteed you would bonk your head if you attempted to use them from a standing position (and i'm pretty short!).
Someone did arrive with three apples on a plate which doesn't say much for supporting local date and fruit growers. Or maybe Abu Dhabi is apple central?
Then there is the display of cheap junk food placed in the open above the minibar which definitely added that desperate-for-your-money motel touch.
The upside is that it is only 20 minutes from the airport, and a short taxi to the Great Mosque.
And the window does open.
Room Tip: i would recommend staying somewhere else for sure.

We are sad to hear that you have not fully enjoyed your stay with us and apologize for not being able to meet all your expectations.
We would like to assure you that the suppliers we are using are internationally accredited and all materials utilized were controlled to be fit for human consumption. Moreover, the hotels in Abu Dhabi in particular are subject to very strict control regulations in terms of hygiene.
Nonetheless, thank you once more for your valued time and we do hope that you would give us another chance to change your perception of us and show you that we are indeed able to provide our guests with par above quality service level.
