Stayed for a total of four nights on two separate occasions during my tour of Damascus.
- Very good location within walking distance from old town, four seasons hotel and nice restaurants
- Decor is early 80's meets retirement home meets fake gold meets over grown green house
- Bathrooms old and worn, shower filled up every time it was used which left you ankle deep in in water (and what ever came up through the plumbing).
- Aircon wasn't working and the only solution was to open the window which made the room noisy and smelly from the busy road outside
- Rooms, level 9 is the VIP floor which is provides bigger rooms than the other floors. However my first room smelt like there was a dead rat in the vents and had to move as it was unbearable
- Internet you have to pay for and it is so slow, google timed out before it could load
- Restaurants are very expensive by international standards and a joke for a restaurant based in Damascus (It was cheaper to eat at the Four Seasons which is a REAL five star hotel.
- Gym, very old equipment and extremely un-hygenic (mold and grime)
- Excuse that you don't get Hotels of an international standard is Syria is not an excuse, this is simply a bad hotel. Better options in Damascus (as suggested by a local when we were there) is the Sheraton, Dedeman and the Fours Seasons
- Cham Palace Hotel Damascus
- Damascus Cham Palace Hotel
