We were leaving a terrible Hotel our agent had booked (San Rock Hotel) and happen to drive by this pleasant Hotel. It looked new, clean and neat, so we decided to get it a try. Lucky us !! The Hotel is very well located in one of the main Av. in Amman, plenty of cabs, restaurants and very safe. Staff is very helpfull, rooms are brand new, and nicely decorated, big plasma TV top it all. As far as we can see this is the best price/quality ratio in the area by far !! Got a JUD 75 a day rate in the balcony without any previous resrevation, tottaly worth it.

I'm an Emirate citizen , we decided to book in some cheap hotel in Doha , and we found RETAJ RESIDENCE IS THE CHEAPEST, It was our good luck to have such a service with this rate.
the stuff are helpful and clean , rooms and restaurant are comfortable.
you can keep your family safe and happy with no fear.
they follow Islamic orders and methods. they never serve alcohols or any forbidden foods.
totally it is a great family hotel you can stay .

We had the misfortune to spend a few days at the Retaj residence serviced apartments recently. Although it is brand new, it somehow manages to be a total dump.

The beds are like iron and I couldn't sleep properly the whole time we were there. THe "fully equipped kitchen"advertised in the brochure and on the website was equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave, but no plates, cutlery, pots, pans or utensils, or any of the basics one would expect in serviced accommodation. THus rendering the said cooker, microwave etc pointless. I noticed that many of the other guests had resorted to buying their own. Upon enquiry the management said they don't usually provide this (Basic) stuff for their customers. What a joke.

THere is a pool but don't think you will be able to use it if you are female - apparently the owners don't approve of ladies swimming and they are not allowed to use the pool at all.

The TV has only one or two ENglish language channels (one french too), all the rest arabic. THe picture is awful.

All in all you wonder what on earth you are paying for. I pity anyone who has to stay there for the Asian games (they are doubling the prices for the occasion by the way) or indeed at any other time. This place is not up to European or US standards and is wIthout doubt the worst place I have ever stayed in terms of service, facilities, quality and price. Some of the staff were helpful which is about the only semi-nice thing I can think of to say about this place. Even worse, the owners just couldn't care less.
