I was sent to this hotel as part of compensation for a Qatar airways overbooked flight. I trusted Qatar airways to book a decent, if not excellent hotel. Instead I got the merweb alsadd. We arrived at 2 am to the hotel, me, my wife and our two daughters. The hotel staff didn't attend to us until they finished their paperwork. We waited ten minutes before receiving any attention. I regret not having left at that moment. We were checked in into a twin room. I asked if it was two double beds, the unswer was positive. However, The room had two single beds. I returned to reception to point thatbthe room was too small, the unswer was a sarcastic "what do you want me to do?". We ended up getting an extra rusty single bed crammed to the tiny bedroom. In the morning, my wife got up early enough for the poor buffet breakfast (paid for by the airline) she tried to bring a couple of croissants for the kids, the staff refused to let her take them. We ordered some drinks from the room (included in the airline deal) and were denied again. The staff explained that the "airline" guests are not allowed to use the full menu. I then escalated my complaint to management. They refused to meet me and said they will get in touch later in the day. They never did. I left the hotel disappointed and frustrated. Never again will I stay in such place. It looks like there is a predominant culture of bad service. This maybe due to the fact that the hotel receives most business from the airline and they don't feel like they have to work hard for repeat business.

This hotel was overpriced in my opinion - costed 400 QAR. But I was paid by Qatar Airways so it wasn't my problem. Check-in was quick, dinner was available until very late - around 1-2 AM. The room was quite modern and I liked it. They prepared full breakfast for 4 AM especially for a group of 3 or 4 people. Wireless Internet was free, available in the room and censored ;). Shuttle bus to the airport leaves every hour.

It is good if you go for business but not for vacation you can bored

This is supposedly an upmarket business hotel. It most certainly is not. The rooms were old. Not very clean. My non-smoking room smelt of smoke. The breakfast was dire... you would get better food on an economy flight. And given the lack of anywhere to eat in the hotel, there wasn't much better selection in the nearby area.

The rooms also did not appear very clean. My bathroom looked like it had been installed in the 1980s. And nothing done since. Also a major turnoff was the fact that some of my bathroom amenities were half empty!?!?

I would definitely not recommend this hotel. And it was definitely overpriced.
