I stayed in this hotel in March 2010. The rooms were large and the restaurant was great. It had a small bar too. Very decent for business and very close to the airport. My only real concern was the size of the pool which was a little small.

With hotel prices in Doha skyrocketing, the Merweb hotel provides everything that you need for a short business trip. Friendly and efficient staff mean that you can get from the airport to your bed in around 30 minutes. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast that is normally included in the room rate has a wide selection.

An all round nice hotel, and good value for money.

This hotel was a great value (Doha's hotels are insanely expensive) and the staff were very helpful. The room was just fine and they even brought up another bed to accommodate our children. There is a great restaurant located right next door and a few shopping centers nearby, so it was a nice location even though it's not downtown in the middle of things.

After a lenghty drive from Saudi, arriving at this hotel was a rather welcome reprieve. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, bedding was of good quality and beds comfortable. Showers were rather unreliable with both hot and lukewarm showers during my stay. There was ample choice for breakfast. Be prepared however for the bar, located on floor M. For some of those in my company, they found the music quite loud, so rather difficult to have a conversation. Expect a late finish. Bar closes at 3am. Location wise, it takes 15 mins to walk to the Souq, 20 mins drive to the Villagio Mall, 10 mins drive to the Al Corniche and possibly 15-20 mins drive to hotels like the Four Seasons, W, Sheraton, etc.. I would stay again.
