I stayed for 3 nights in the last week of March 2009.
It can do with lots of improvements mainly if the management had the will in my view. The staff were in a way slow but polite and tried to help but I think the amount of investment in the hotel is letting them down.
My bathroom had a broken bidet hose pipe and I had to wait 2 days for it to be fixed; the a/c gave out a burning smell after I had stopped it because I had a cold and felt cold and was told that the remedy was to keep it on!
The bed was very hard and there was no change of beds/linen etc throughout my stay and the room fridge was basic. The furniture does need some refurbishment too.
The food was good and good service in the restaurant.
It is essentially a low cost motel run on minimum cost and therefore three stars is a too much for it. Turns out that some of its business is related to new medical personnel working at the nearby Hamad Medical City but it seems they are not in the mindset of competing with others.
