If you are a smoker, you'll love it.

There are no smoke-free rooms or floors. Unlike other reputable hotels in Doha, the small restaurant has a smoking section even though the regulations ban smoking indoors.

Other negatives:
- very dark rooms. The glass is heavily tinted so you'll need the lights on all day no matter how sunny it is outside
- towels of low quality
- music in hallway plays all night
- extremely limited breakfast buffet (unless you count the spicy olives and the five kinds of cakes)
- integrated washer/dryer from which your clothes come out so wrinkled it take three times longer to iron them
- no dishwasher (can't get comfortable with the people who clean the toilets also cleaning my dishes)

Large apartment with very comfortable rooms. Nice indoor pool as well. City Centre Mall is walking distance.

The service is excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is no wireless and the rooms needs improvemement (it is an old hotel, as old as one can be in Doha). But over all for the money they charge, the value is really good.

This is a serviced apartment hotel, so one gets the best of both worlds -- a real kitchen and large living room, plus daily maid service and 24/7 staffing. The rooms are spacious and modern with ensuite bathrooms for each bedroom; the linens are of a higher quality than I had expected. Okay selection on cable (flat screen TV in every room). The service is excellent and people knew my name and greeted me all the time. There's a restaurant with good American style food at reasonable prices (they also deliver to the room); no liquor or beer. The workout area is very good and well equipped. The pool is a little small and barely large enough for laps. This is an especially good option for families. The mall (a 5 minute walk away) has all the shops and restaurants you could want. The "W" hotel is a one-minute walk away if one wants upscale dining and drinking.
