What to say about Napoli... We stayed in this hotel during newyears night mainly because most other hotels were fully booked. The online prices was $90, but the rack rate advertised at the reception is lower, $75 or so.
The hotel is a fairly basic hotel, with decently sized rooms located directly on the Hamra main strip. The location is both a blessing and a nightmare: you will be very close to everything in Hamra, but its also directly located over the busy street which causes some noise problems.
The bathrooms come with working hot showers, but are not very well cleaned. It wasn't horrible, but if you are a cleanfreak you would probably not want to stay in this hotel.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, although it took some time to find someone that knew how the wireless internet actually worked and what the password was. At that, the internet system only works in the lobby and is too weak to be usable in the rooms.
The only true downside on this hotel is that is is more expensive than other hotels that offer very similar quality, or that you can get a better hotel at the rate they are asking. Napoli isn't a bad place as it is, but the competition just pushes it out of being attractive unless most other hotels are full. If you find yourself to be required to book a room at this place, don't be too worried: It isn't bad, but you can get something similar at half the price if you look further and beirut isn't too busy.
