I was in Beirut on business and this hotel was selected by the client, however i was pleased with their choice.

The hotel is art deco style, with a few scuffs around the edges, but nothing to be concerned about. The staff were polite and efficient, and were on hand when needed. Room was sizeable, clean, pretty well equipped, unfortunately no free WIFi or Tea/Coffee making facilites or waters.
Beds pretty comfortable - but have a plastic sheet on matress, for 'bedwetters' which can make it sweaty.
Nice little balcony.
Breakfast, dining room has no atmosphere and an unusual selection for breakfast - suspect low turnover of food.

Still a very good stay.

Would go back.

The hotel is in an ideal location, rooms are good some of them are spacious, rooms are clean , staff are generally friendly but front office staff are not friendly and get irritated with questions and request for help. Its a good hotel if you are on a budget and need a clean and convienent room. However, other hotels could be better in the neighbouhood.

I don't know what it is about the palm beach that makes me go back again and again. It certainly isn't its Indian restaurant or its very kitsch lobby... I think what it is is that it simply offers a very good quality/price ratio in Beirut. The location on the Beirut Corniche is one of the highlights, being able to walk out of the hotel's door and be on the seafront is very pleasant. Calls for a lot of morning/afternoon walks. The bustling neighborhood of Hamra is a ten minute walk away. In fact most places are a 10-15 minutes walk away. The rooftop pool is another highlight, the Mediterranean and Beirut at your feet when you are ether doing your laps in the pool or sipping wine at night. Rooms are VERY comfortable with HUGE balconies. if i had to find one shortcoming: The gym gear is falling apart.

The hotel is located in the heart of Beirut, just a walking distance to everything. The was spacious with sea-view and very nice toilet.
