the hotel is very well positioned in the new beirut downtown area and this, coupled with affordable prices, makes it a very good option.
the staff is friendly and helpful when needed.
the only drawback is that the facilities are lacking and the hotel would benefit from faster internet and elevators but with the former it is generally a problem of lebanon's weak IT infrastructure.
finally, i wanted to highlight somethin that annoyed me and that was my room key getting deprogrammed twice during my stay. the usual excuse was that i hold it next to my phone but that's a tired argument since i always keep the card away from everything else. the inconvenience entails going back down to the reception in the slow elevator and getting this fixed.
TVs are small CRT units but do the basic job. beirut isn't a town where you want to spend your time indoors.
the rooms are large with ensuite kitchenetter that i didn't use and there is a nice sitting area within the junior suite. furniture is simple and basic.
the only area of the room that i would say needs more attention is the bathrooms that could be enlarged and upgraded and the shower could be much better lit.
