Stayed in deluxe room. All rooms are sea view. The hotel is located about 15min from downtown and facing sea, not directly on water (cross big street) and doesnt have a beach (more like rock barrier).
Whats good: its clean, lobby and spa very luxury, big rooms, balcony is huge (3x5m), hotel has indoor pool/jacuzzi, free wifi (basic not for downloads), room has one love seat and two desks, full amenities as any other 5 star (robes, slippers, bathroom set etc), service is good and friendly
Whats bad: room design has no life, cant explain it but its dull. Electricity gets cut for a few seconds every hour or so (but im sure this is a country problem not hotel), room has no clock (the only place with clock is on tv when its of and in bathroom looking at weight scale! Tv is small for room size. Bathroom is small a shame really considering how much space is available in room and balcony. Shower head has three settings. . . drip, spray the bathroom and laser beem! Now what really got me is their ethics, first room rates. . . online their rate was 130-150usd per night but our company booked directly with hotel and where given 320usd per night!! im not paying but that just shows you the start of my ethics dilema. Secondly, taxi rides, hotel has a voucher system which they charge to your room so you dont pay driver, this is a rip of! rides that cost 15usd are charged 40-50usd, i understand that its always more expensive to take hotel cars but first this isnt a hotels limo nor does any hotel ive been in charge 3-4times the reg rate! Also note any cab can stay with you the whole day for 90-100usd and that includes gas. Airport transfer 20usd, hotel charges 40usd and funny thing is they use a reg taxi service which you can find and deal with directly at airport.
Note: hotel has a water park but havent seen it so cant say anything.
In conclusion: the only reason to stay in this hotel is if your here for water park, close to a business partner or coming in winter and want to enjoy an indoor pool. Its a decent 5 star but still needs a few touches and a much needed room renovation to give it more life. Fix their ethics when it comes to rates and taxis. They also need to join a miles program.
I would still recomend this hotel if your doing a search that is not business related and find their rates competitive. This is a private chain and i have stayed in their hotel in Jordan (way better).
