“Small and good hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

The hotel located in the Verdun street in a modern building: the building has a small mall also. The staff was helpfull and nice. All the service I requested they provide them in a timly manner. Chick in/out was fast and easy. One time I return to the room after noon and I found one person he intrduce himself as the supervisor of the room services and actullay the room service during my stay perform thier jobs in a good and clean manner. Room size are big enogh compare to other hotels in Lebanon.

One disadvantge is that some roads around the hotel are one way and other are closed. It take me some time to memeorize around which easly can reach the hotel.

“All right hotel if your standards aren't high.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012 via mobile

Rooms are spacious and have all you need - tv, hanging space, desk, fridge. There is plenty of bottled water and fresh apples. Nothing to complain about. But nothing is special. For some reason the don't have smoking under control. My room constantly had a whiff of the neighbors smoke in the air. At night there is disco noise, not too loud but noticeable. Staff friendly and behaves a little clumsy. Steam room ans Jacuzzi advertized but closed when I went there. Location is excellent, shops and cafes are plentiful. On my next visit To Beirut I probably will go back to the Movenpick.

“Benefits from being in a mall”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

This hotel offers a good location and good value. However, nothing is great about it: the rooms and restaurant (tried it for breakfast only) are basic. Service is good, and the self-park garage is convenient.

“Ask for Ms. Rania Absi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

I spent 5 nights in the hotel, with my wife and daughter including new years eve .
Prior to arriving we mailed the hotel and Ms Rania was very helpfull and arranged for all our tours , evenings, shopping and even hair dresser !

The whole atmosphere is just great, we enjoyed our time there and will be back surely .

The location of the hotel is just perfect it cant be more perfect, very easy transportation to any place in lebanon and can be reached through many routes so no worries about traffic .

Only breakfast can be improved if there was a wider range of food its the same everyday .

Room Tip: Dont stay in any room not rated as executive or above, it will be small . Also avoid corner rooms un...

“Walk into a disaster”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

people found this review helpful

The hotel is lost in identity, built, designed and branded as a 3 star hotel, but charges, and have a snobby attitude as if they are 5+ star hotel. Maybe it gets this from their location. Verdun is a plush residential-buildings area. So what!. And the issue is, it houses some of the most active political figures in Lebanon including the current Prime Minster. So, don’t dare to take a walk at night between the guards and even tanks!. Terrible structure nested as part of a mini-mall with no entrance identify. Bad check in service. The person went ahead and pre-paid against the credit card. That is not proper practice giving me the feel I am crook. Worse yet, the check process still took long until someone checked on the room and the refrigerator. I paid website retail $180! Before services charges and taxes and later was given no priority points credit. I think their trick was the pre-paid thing or something. The room is lost in identity too. You have a semi desk area but also there is a kids basket of goods on it. Settings is lousy and slightly better than what you get in a Motel 8 off a highway in the USA. The only escape was a next door restaurant where I had spent my time. One night only and never again.
