“Home away from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2010

I stayed at this hotel with my family during my buisness trip to Bahrain, we really felt like we are at home!. the room was good and with attached toilette and walk-in cabinet in between. the living room was really really huge with a balcony overlooking the Muharraq bridge. the kitchen was fully equiped with all needed cooking appliances.
The parking were avilible IN the hotel premises not like the adjacent hotels were the guestes were parking on the street. in addtion all the parkings were covered. the inetrnet service was free of charge and with reasonable speed. the TV channels have wide variety of choices inluding SHOWTIME.
The only disadvantage is the unpaved way to reach to this hotel. other than this everything was perfect !

“A pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

Stayed at the Somerset Residence for about a week with family.

We chose this Residential apartment because it is part of an international chain.

This part of Juffair is full of apartment hotels. The Somerset is a bit of a way in with some of the roads still not tarmac’d What set this one apart is that it has its own entrance drive way & parking outside & underground. It gives it a nice cozy hotel feel. Other apartment hotels have car parking outside and look a bit austere. The A shape building also makes it look attractive.

The apartment was well appointed and clean. We requested a sea view & were offered a sea view apartment for an extra 3BD. It made all the difference. As per an earlier comment, the carpets have been recently renewed. They are Berber type and confined to the bedrooms only. The common areas have wooden floors and bathrooms are tiled. All very clean.

Breakfast was included in the price and is in a nice seating area overlooking a patio garden.
The main swimming pool area is also pleasant because of the approach either from the patio area or a small garden. Again it is on the ground floor as opposed to a roof top garden as in some of the others.

With the starter pack they seem to have thought of everything including washing powder for the washing machine.

As we were on holiday we were in and out during the day & evening and fortunately did not experience any construction noise.

The staff were extremely polite, professional and friendly.

“Lovely Apts - Great Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2010

Stayed just for a weekend with friends to celebrate a birthday weekend. Located a bit off the main drag but still easily accessible (albeit past a few building sites!) with nice sea views (unless your facing the new building being built next door!). Apartments fully furnished with all mod cons, staff went out of their way to accommodate requests for extra sun beds by pool & then extra bed in one of the apartments.

Ample breakfast & free airport pick up all in all added to the great weekend!

“Better Than Expected!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 March 2010

The hotel staff went out of their way to make this an enjoyable stay as they are aware that the location is not their best selling point. We were upgraded on our arrival to a bigger 2-bedroom apartment.

Staff were friendly and responsive, and service was prompt over the weekend we stayed. Rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained. They called for taxis when we needed them and when we needed something, say an extra towel, the service was quick. The breakfast included as part of the package was good.

The children's playroom suited us as my wife and I had our breakfast and the kids went off to play. We got the 13th floor and the seaview was amazing. There're various building constuction taking place next to the hotel but that's to expected in this area, which is under development now.

The only downsides are:
1. Location.
2. No restaurant, except for breakfast.
3. No children's pool.

“Significant improvement each time I stay at Somerset Al Fateh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2010

I have come to stay in Somerset Al Fateh for at least 5 times and during each time i have stayed a minimum of 5 nights.

The first time I stayed in the apartment was summer 2009, I notice that the noise level was high due to the construction of buildings surrounding the hotel and the GSM reception was poor. However, this was definitely not the case now as the noise level was reduced to a minimal level and I was inform by the staffs that the apartment is now fully equipped with GSM network as well as good complimentary WIFI network, which is excellent for businessman like myself.

Besides that, all staffs were providing genuinely good services and the rooms was very well maintained and very comfortable (did I mention that they have personal jacuzzi bathtub?)

I rate 4.5star for this hotel and highly recommend guest who wants a conformation and no frills stay.
