Ramada Palace Hotel is a fantastic hotel located in Gudabiya. I was a little apprehensive about the hotel because of a few negative reviews. Since I was travelling with my 1.5 year old son, I was concerned about safety and noise. However, once I got there, I discovered that any concerns I had because of any negative reviews were totally baseless.
1) Hotel was prompt in pick up and drop off to the airport. A truly valuable service given that taxis are expensive.
2) Breakfast was great and plentiful. My family enjoyed the breakfast spread each morning. The variety was ample.
3) Room cleanliness was impeccable. Everything was spic and span.
4) Any time I needed a taxi, the reception would have someone hail a taxi immediately.
5) I survive on the Internet. So I was ecstatic to find the WiFi speeds to be excellent and continuous in services. Nothing patchy at all.
6) Noise level were minimal. Considering that its next to a slightly busy street, there was no real disturbance that I noticed. Infact my son slept so soundly.
7) Reception desk was very friendly. Infact all the staff were friendly and helpful.
8) Restaurants at the hotel were great. We ate at Akbars and Al-Arz on the ground floor. Both were delicious and favorably priced.
9) We were staying in the Superior Double and so had a flat screen TV in the room
10) Room had a electric kettle for tea/coffee etc. Some water was also complimentary.
11) Hot water available at all times in the shower
The only thing is that the location is at Gudabiya and not near the main malls, etc. But I spent a lot of time exploring old Manama and so the location was ideal for me. Plus, lots of cold stores in the vicinity for essentials. So really the location was not a problem for me at all.
Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! Well worth the price.
