“Nice location, good service”

Always stay here in Bahrain, good location, free shuttle to airport and less than £5 ride to center of Manama in a taxi.
Good choice of restaurants, although Buffet can be a bit expensive for what you get, but hey whats new at international chain hotels right?
Small gym, good if your staying for a week or more and need to keep up with a routine but not worth packing for if your not that bothered.
Decent swimming pool.
Beer very expensive, although to be expected of course, however £5+ for a bottle of Bud seems steep even by Middle East standards.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the palace, its worth it, rather than looking over the road at the bac...

“Good but nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

Having stayed here several time (The company has a corporate agreement with them) I regularly receive mails from the Ramada in Manama. In their last mail they were "pleased to anounce" that the renovation of their reception area was deferred from 2011 to 2012 because of the unrest in Bahrain. That is typical of this hotel. They try their best but never quite make it. Let me be clear, I have stayed in far worse places but the Ramada is an old hotel (check the commemorative plaque on the front wall) and it is more than just a little tired. While comfortable, the place lacks atmosphere and a visit there is "just a place to stay"rather than something to which you look forward. Everything is just "ok".
The bar is spacious but it's dark and the Filipino band would not even reach the first round of X-factor wannabees. The restaurant is spacious but cold and uninviting with a menu to match.
Breakfa'st at least provides bacon and eggs in Brigade strength and there is one Indian waiter (Fernandes is his name , I think - he is on the employee of the month board outside the restaurant) who is an absolute jewel. He does his absolute best to make guests welcome and he is clearly very proud that at breakfast at least, the restaurant is "his".
You cannot complain about the Ramadaa as far as a decent, clean place to stay. As far as "memorability" is concerned, it is a non-starter. Just plain, old value for money in Manama

“Nicely Located Friendly Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

I stayed here several times now and have always found it clean and comfortable. Located nicely next to the restraunt district. It has a few reasonably dinning facilities within the hotel. Reasonable priced for Bahrain if you want descrete and no visible adult orientated companions; unlike many hotel in Bahrain. It serves both alcohol and that other meat. I enjoy staying here and always happy to go back.

Room Tip: Make sure you book first it can be full most weekends.

“Good International Chain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

Very comfortable stay, can highly recommend.

As you would expect with a big chain hotel the rooms are very comfortable and facilities are good, rooms are big and the bar is good.

Breakfast is nothing to write home about but overall very good.

Staff make you feel very welcome.
