Overall quite clean, spacious and quiet. The room was nice and dark, perfect for sleeping. Decor a little dated, the alarm clock didn't work, it appeared somebody had gotten into the minibar and 'sampled' the bottles and the bathrooom smelled funky, though appeared clean.
The Al Safir isn't really somewhere to linger, but was well-priced and got the job done. The service, however, was appalling - despite prior online bookings and the fact that we arrived just when we said we would, our check-in took in excess of an hour and seemed to bore and inconvenience staff. Check out, despite being told that our intent was to check out after breakfast, was a similar ordeal.
A power adapter was requested three times, each time with assurances that it was on the way, though it never arrived.
