Not a bad place for a transit, many passengers for Gulf Air delays are dropped there. (And treated a bit rudely by the check-in staff; passports are locked up during your stay there, without clear warning, as a safeguard that the passenger pays for the extras like drinks instead of hoping that airline or hotel does this...)
Room on 2nd floor was okay, though quite dated; bathroom worn-out (e.g. no bath tub plug anymore) and housekeeping had forgotten to place towels, THAT was fixed quickly. Restaurant on ground floor acceptable buffets, more 2-star than 4-star. Pool (nextdoor, access from outside) is not bad either; not as sleazy/mixed with massage parlour as with other Manama hotels. Juffair is close to airport but QUITE far from the real Manama town, the only thing at walking distance is a small suburban shopping mall.
