a business hotel, well located for business activities. pleasant enough.

We live in nearby Saudi and come here often. Compared to all the other luxury hotels in Bahrain, and we've been to many of them, it ranks as one of the top two for room luxury. They have done these rooms with thick, luxurious carpets, very nice paneling and luxurious bathrooms, not to mention the golden carpeted luxurious hallways. Very quiet hotel also. SECRET: club rooms are the exact same as regular rooms but you get the lounge. Unless you drink a lot, it's not worth the price difference.

HOTEL'S CHIEF DOWNFALL: Extremely snooty Phillipino ladies working as front desk staff. Some of these are nice, but many of them are extremely snooty. In Bahrain, the Phillipino hotel staff seem to think being snooty makes them good, but they don't realize that in the US being snooty to high paying guests is one of the worst insults.

There is nothing cheap about Bahrain and this hotel is not cheap as well. But it is very very nice, well kept and close to the airport and the city center. Great gym, club room, etc. Would stay again for sure.

I have been staying at the Sheraton Bahrain for the longest time. Most of my trips have been for business but i took my family there once or twice. It is not the cheapest hotel in town and for a Starwood loyalty member, it is the only option for me in Bahrain. Having said that, it is one of the most civilized hotels in Bahrain. The all-family ambiance is very healthy for a family with children. The fact that no working girls are allowed on site makes it more relaxed. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help. They have been invaluable in getting me reservations at eateries in town. The sports bar is quite fun and the Illy Cafe and lounge are a good place to hang out, grab a bite and relax after a long day at work. With the summer heat, having covered parking is a blessing and relief. Getting to the hotel is easy but getting from the hotel to the main malls can be a hassle with the traffic and the hotel's location vis-a-vis the roads. This hotel has a luxury mall connected to it and that offers some good alternatives for breakfast. I found it to be better to have breakfast in my room a much better option than the buffet.
