I have traveled for two nights to Bahrain and stayed in this hotel after reading the good evaluations on the site. Staff was great , rooms are big, clean and modern. I would definetely advise reader to stay in this hotel and will be coming back soon.

“Lots of promises but work to do...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2011

Got a free upgrade to a larger room to start with and early check-in, what more to want? Well still quite some things, but it's more teething pains than structural limitations.
Already GOOD:
* Location; not really near large malls but lots of local soukh-like street shops and 3 Internet cafes too
* Breakfast (and dinner restaurant). Huge portions (no buffet when visited due to low occupancy) and quick service
* Reception service, organised a city tour quickly
* Room, with nice coffee/tea making too
LIMITATIONS to work on:
* No service directory in room, hard to guess all that's available
* No power outlet in bathroom
* AC was 'recurrent problematic', needed to reset often to work
Pool, finally, is small but okay; due to the sleazy spa/massage parlour next door not recommended for families.

“Strange feeling about Monroe hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2010

the hotel is quite new so there are lots of improvement to be done ,such a service ,specially the wake up call which they forgot .... room was huge comfortable sleep ,but no plug in the bath room so impossible to plug my electrical shaver , no glasses for tooth brush ,,no separate shower just a small tub, amenities provided are quite cheap , I paid the room 250$ so you expect a bit better. But the size of the room was great and nice view from the last floor.Breakfast is a la carte ...american breakfast is the same everyday but excellent orange juice. Internet is expensive and not included.

“Love to be back in this hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2010

A good hotel, with spacious rooms. Good night life in the hotel. A market near buy. Value for money. The food served in the hotel is very good. the only draw back is there is no free internet service it is all to be paid at the rate of 1BD for 4Hrs and 5BD for a day. The hotel has arabic dance and other dance on the first floor after 2230Hrs. Good time pass in night.

“Got exactly what I wanted...:)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2010

The Staff was very friendly and courteous. The rooms were very clean and neat and when they didn’t have the room that I wanted they set me up with something very comparable. Breakfast was complementary with the room and so was the intranet which was a bonus seeing that is what I was looking for in my room. They have several restaurants right there in the building and two clubs just outside the door from the main lobby. On the Second floor is the "The Oasis Spa" and that was really nice and relaxing. It is Thai Massage parlor and they have a verity of services at a reasonable cost. Over all it was very relaxing and quiet and gave me the chance to unwind from my busy life.
