“Set to be very impressive after the renos”

It was a bit of bad timing that i went when they were undergoing some major renovation. Still, it was not too disruptive other than having to walk extra distances which in the current weather is actually quite pleasant (15-25 C).

it was particularly convenient for me that i was attending a conference right next door. To be honest i have no idea what the room rate was as my generous Saudi host paid for everything. I must say I enjoyed the breakfast thoroughly. Foul moudames really sorts you out in the morning and you can really last the distance. the quality of fruits, cheeses and bread is really excellent given we're in the middle of the desert!

My room was at the cabana by the pool. this section is quite private and only 1 level so you get a sense of exclusiveness - if you dont mind the walk.

One nice memory i will take from this trip was the very pleasant service i received when i left Riyadh. Maybe because it was 3:30am and the airport was fairly empty but the usual cold and sometimes chaotic handling that i had encountered previously in Saudi airports was not there. The check-in desk was super efficient and accomodated my requests with a smile. Even the security officer was very nice about opening my bag that i did not at all feel upset by the whole intrusion.

I would like to extend my deep appreciation of your understanding towards the long walk from your cabana room to the conference room in the main building. I share your comments that our main entrance, lobby, restauranst and new conference complex are set to be very impressive after the renovation.

“Expensive but good”

Typical 5 star place, but is well done
Is being upgraded at the moment, so entrance is a bit mixed up and lomng winded
breakfast if good, beds are ace - 2 mins and asleep and rooms as well equipped, spacious and mine was quiet as a grave
Great place for business

Room Tip: Facing inner courtyard seemed to be quiet

“Old and overpriced”

i have been twiced in this hotel once in 2008 and my last stay in December 2011. Big change since! the restaurant at the Pool used to be deliciou , it is not anymore the case. Food is just averaged and price are the same. Big drop in quality. So it is the rest, the hotel is under refurbishment and you have to walk a lot to get to your room. You will be lost in corridors to find your way out. Breakfast is over priced at almost 40 euros...the buffet is ok for dinner...but if you stay long you will get bored.

I am pleased to inform you that the hotel has recently hired a new Swiss Executive Chef, and a Spanish Executive Sous Chef with the objective to introduce new menus and improve the quality of food in all our outlets. We are also set to open our new lobby, restaurants and conference rooms.

“Very comfortable stay with friendly staff.”

A business trip, right in the heart of the business area, and whilst a couple of colleagues were upset by the noise, my room was very comfortable.
lots of nice comlimentary touches such as fruit in the room. Will definitely stay here next time.

Room Tip: away from the refurnbishment work. 420 was nice!

“When the remodeling is complete it will be wonderful....”

Unfortunately they are in the middle of remodeling the enrty area, so it is dusty, noisy and a long walk to get to your room. The work was so loud that it made it hard to conduct a phone call within my room. The hotel will be very beautiful when the work is complete. I look forward to a future visit - post construction.
