“good and familiar accomodation”

For the second time we stayed in Darotel in Amman / Sheimsani. This time with 7 persons. It is small and familiar with a nice terrace on top of the house with a small spring making a comfortable athmosphere on hot days. First the aircon of our room was laking, so we immiditaly got another room by the helpful assistant. There are also familiy rooms with a connecting door.
It is situated about 10min carride from City Center. So with Taxi (2-3 JOD) or public bus City Center is easy to reach. The bus runs from mainroad 3min to walk. Near the mainroad there are a lot of local restaurant. Ask for promotion price which is about half of normal price. So you get a nice hotel much cheaper as ususal for this standard.

“Very good value if you get promotion price”

- Very friendly staff
- Offer special promotions on the internet (in our case 'spring promotion') where the price is around half of the normal price. If you get this promotion price, you get a nice midrange hotel for the price of an upper-range hostel.
- A handy restaurant in the hotel

Negative:
- Location: the hotel is in a quiet suburb , a few kilometers away from downtown Amman.
So you should take the taxi to go to the center.
Walking is around 40 minutes, but you'll have to cross some crazy busy roads.
