“Nice Boutique Hotel in TA”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

I stayed at the Center Chic with my brother for about a week in early February. The hotel has a good location. It is about 200-300 meter walk to the Dizengoff Center. Approximately 1.2 kilometers walk to the Carmel Market in Tel Aviv (Allenby and King George). And about 750 meter walk to Rabin Square. The #5 sherut runs constantly on Dizengoff and can be taken at all hours of the day and night.
The Center Chic Hotel has a friendly staff and a good vibe. The rooms are very clean but a little on the small side. Some rooms have little balconies that are perfect to smoke a cigarette or something of the like. Most Israeli's smoke so this is important. The TV is a flat screen / LCD about 32" or so. The channels offered are average. No CNN. No ESPN. No MSNBC. Yes to the BBC. Yes to Russian TV.
The breakfast offered is above average. Good choices of fresh fruit and cereals. Coffee, tea and a variety of juices. A variety of yogurts, nuts and dry fruits. The staff will make a cappuccino if you request it. The breakfast staff is friendly and they are skilled at their chosen occupation. The breakfast facility is located across the street at the Cinema Hotel. It is a very short walk. The Cinema Hotel has an interesting history. It was a movie theater until 1989 and is decorated with a variety of movie memorabilia.
The Center Chic has bikes that are for hotel guests. They are pink and white in color, so a warning to macho male tourists. The process of getting a bike is a bit bizarre. A form is filled out. An ID is given for collateral. And the prospective biker is compelled to retrieve his / her own bike with little assistance from hotel staff. Also the bikes can only be used during daylight hours. No bike helmets are available at the hotel.
The cleaning staff are kind and courteous. They work hard and do a good job. My room was always in great condition, stocked with fresh towels and amenities.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 312 and it was cool. Kind of small if you are traveling with two people. Perfect...

“great place to stay”

Good location, near a plentiful supply of restaurants, near the mall, and beach. Pleasantly surprised by the helpful service, everyone was very accommodating and always had a smile on their face.

The rooms are not huge but make good use of their space and have a homey feel.

Room Tip: the higher floors may have a slightly better view as their is a tree or two out front.

“A good place to stay in Tel Aviv”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

Perfect, central location. Around the corner are many bars and shops. Nice, friendly stuff at the reception desk. Speak perfect English. Not far from the beach. Clean rooms, but small. A balcony for smokers. A good hairdryer and bath equipement. Will definitely come back to this hotel!

Center Chic is perfect for the easy discovery weekend trip to Tel. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, yet on a quiet branch of the square. Friendly staff, nice'n'new rooms, balcony - what more do you want. Brilliant 'rainforest'-type shower. Free bike rental and happy hour every day from 1730 with free food and drinks (incl. red and white wine).

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed yourself during your stay at the Center Chic Hotel. I don't know which room you stayed in but some of our balconies look directly out onto Dizengoff Square where you can take in all the action taking place in the center of Tel Aviv. It can be quite enjoyable to sit and people watch for a short time.

“boutique hotel in Bauhaus building”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

This hotel is a pretty cool Bauhaus-style building on Dizengoff Square. The rooms are on the small size, so it can be a tight fit with multiple suitcases. Our "double" bed was two singles pushed together, so that was a bit weird, but my wife and I managed it OK. We loved the buffet breakfast, which is included in the room rate.

We also stayed at the Artplus hotel, another hotel in the Atlas chain. While the main rooms were about the same size, the Center's bathroom was more spacious. We liked the breakfast experience better at the Artplus, as (a) the Center's breakfast is served at the sister Cinema Hotel across the street and you have to check in at the front desk on the way, and (b) the breakfast room in the Artplus had better ambience (light and decoration).

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review. We love hearing what guests have to say about our hotels. As you have also posted a review for the ArtPlus with almost identical remarks I hope you will forgive me for mentioning similar points.

First of all, regarding your double bed the hotel does in fact have double beds however some of the rooms do have twin beds instead. Based on availability we will gladly move you to a room with a double bed. However I do apologize if this was not your preference. For future visits we kindly ask you to state your preference when booking the room so that we can try and give you exactly the type of bed you would like.

Having seen three of our boutique hotels I'm sure you were able to appreciate each one with it's own special style and theme created specifically to give people a broad range of choice in location and atmosphere. This is exactly why Atlas composed the phrase "Each one in their own style" to describe our selection of hotels. We look forward to seeing you again the next time you are in Israel.
