“not perfect - but friendly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

The hotel is - prima facie - not realy perfect nor even comfortable. In particular the pay management did not work (no cards accepted, just cash - why!?), could be much cleaner and the breakfast is actually less than nothing. BUT the manager Avi is the most frendly hotel manager I met. And he always looked for any issue I mentioned and he helped at onve! One can wish that he should become the "owner" and upgrate the hotel soon.

“Love motel”

The problem is the owner's culture. He feels like he is doing you favours by charging $120, turning on the a/c or fixing a leaking pipe and makes you feel cheated.
If you can get the room for $60 then it is ok as long as you accept paying in cash upfront and asking for a/c at reception and getting evil looks from mates of Ophir at the lobby.

“Good location and cheap but dirty with the very poor food service.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

Hello. I stayed in this hotel for a few days in September 2011 (Bed & Breakfast). There are the good and the bad things.
The good thing is location and the price. I would also like to thank both Ms Mirrah and Mr Danny for their help. They both were nice and friendly, especially Mirrah was very helpful and professional person. Thank you Mirrah again. You were great.
The bad things are as follows:
- the cleanliness and dirt in the buffet !!!
- very poor service during breakfast, just 1 person to serve many people, who had to prepare meals, clean all dishes, tables etc, which caused queues. I doubted about health and safety.
- lack of variety of food during the breakfast. Everyday the same i.e. tuna from the can, yoghurt, omelette, tomato. Often none hot water was provided to make simply a cup of tea during the breakfast.
- the guy who introduced himself as "a boss" who wanted me to pay more for my room after the payment being agreed and already paid with another member of staff ! This is completely unacceptable, frustrating and unprofessional when the staff tells you that you have to pay more, once you have your receipt in the pocket, especially when you return from the beach.
- the noise from the corridor. I was unable to sleep and felt as if somebody was walking in my room when the customer from the next room came in to his room.

Summary. For urgent not demanding visits up to a few days (3 or 4) it might be good value for money. Otherwise try to find something better.

Room Tip: Think twice before you pay and make a written confirmation of the deal you pay for.

“Pay a bit more but stay in a real hotel!”

Ophir (the owner!) is one of the biggest S*B ever that manages a hotel... it is not a hotel.
he asks for the money upfront in a rude way (shame on me that i didn't read these other review before i stayed!) The rooms are dirty, the staff steals things from the room. They promised a room with "jacuzi" for x$ but when you get there they give you another room for the same x$ (cash of course!). When you complain they say ok we'll move you tomorrow...
tonight someone was fighting with them because of the same reason (fist fight!)...
avoid at all cost!!! it is one of the worst hotels ever and i'm on the roads for more then a quarter of a year!

Room Tip: The best tip to get the best room is NOT to pay up front before you see the room and if possible avo...

“Avoid it like the plague”

Stupidly, I didn't read the reviews here before I booked, as I'm generally not fussy and so long as a room is clean and I can sleep, I'm fine with that. I also think there should be cheaper options for people who just want a place to sleep - but this isn't it.

First, when I arrived I was tols that as there was no single room available, in spite of my booking, I'd need to pay an exta 200NIS for a double room for 3 nights. Stupdily, I agreed. My room was on the lobby level (one floor up from street level) and so I had both the noise of the guy on the phone in the lobby area (and the odor of his cigarettes), and - with windows closed and the air-conditioning on - the traffic noise. In one closet in the room is an electricity meter and a danger sign on the box containing it. There's also junk piled on another cupboard. After waking at 4 am because of the traffic noise, I left for another hotel.
