We made eleventh-hour reservations at this hotel because we wanted to spend our final days in Israel in Tel Aviv at a hotel near the beach of the Mediterranean Sea, instead of staying longer at the dump we were staying at in Jerusalem (Jerusalem Gold Hotel - see my tripadvisor review of it). We did not check any reviews and just booked this one ASAP because it was on the last day we could cancel with the dump in Jerusalem, which actually turned out to be a nicer hotel than this place! The bathroom had moldy grout in the tub/shower, the TV looked like they got it from a Goodwill store with a broken/missing channel-up switch (the remote control was useless) and had only half a dozen channels (none in English), the bed cover looked dirty, though the sheets appeared clean and freshly laundered. There was no room safe, and you had to hand in your sole room key to the front desk upon leaving the hotel for any reason. No hairdryer in the bathroom, but they brought us one upon request (it was bizarre when the young guy who brought it to the room laughed when I tried to tip him for his trouble). There was an armoire with a broken door in the room and a small mini fridge that struggled to keep things cool. God, what a mistake staying at this place, though it was only a block from the beach and the Wi-Fi (available only in the lobby) was free!
