We had a great holiday at the Metropolitan. I had stayed here before, as had other guests we spoke to, including one who had been sixteen times! It is comfortable, although not luxurious, and superb value and I am judging it taking into account the price paid. We were allocated a spacious room on the 10th Floor with a wonderful sea view. The AC was OK, the room nicely furnished, the bed comfortable. The room had ample wardrobe and drawer space and there was a free safe and coffee making facilities. The bathroom however was small and dated, but it was equipped with a very good shower. The room was cleaned to a very high standard. The hotel provides towels for the beach, although they are not proper beach towels and you will need two each to cover the sun bed. We didn't like the look of the pool area and so only used the beach. The hotel staff were most accommodating and gave us a 2pm late check out on our last day. The lobby is attractive and there is an excellent gift shop. The breakfast was OK, but basic for a 4* hotel. The position was fantastic, very close to the beach and also a short walk to the Dizengoff Centre, etc. Just around the corner is the excellent Yotvata Restaurant, which does fantastic salads and smoothies.

While the Hotel Metropolitan is not the fanciest or swankiest hotel along the Tel Aviv beach, it is a fine place to stay. The rooms are small, but clean. The beds are comfortable, most of the staff is pleasant, the manager is more-than-willing to assist you (he's a real people-person), the view of the Mediterranean is fantastic and the breakfast is quitey delicious. The dining room staff couldn't have been more welcoming or gracious.

I was referred to this hotel by friends who have returned to the Metropolitan, and in turn, I've sent family and friends. It's a European-style hotel, well worth the price, in an unbeatable location. Most of the guests are European, but as an American I still felt very comfortable. Give the Metropolitan a chance, you won't be disappointed.

A basic hotel with friendly staff. Fantastic position just one block back from the Sea front. Good breakfasts but very busy so if you don't want to push and shove then get down early. The swimming pool area did not have enough sun beds and very, very hot compared to the beach which had a lot more life and activity. The bathroom was very cramped and I missed not having a balcony. The gym was very basic however there is an amazing Holmes Place gym just 300 yards away. The hotel is clean and basic and you get what you pay for. I look forward to staying again next year.

16 floor building. One block from beach. Reasonable outdoor pool. Reception staff efficient. Very busy. Had suite on 16th floor. Terrible view. Rooms are stale, need upgrading. Breakfast was busy. Large selection. Lacked fresh fruit, juices or someone to make eggs for one.. I suppose this hotel is good value for 3 stars only. They should upgrade their rooms and I'm sure they will get happier guests. I would stay there again if the rooms were upgraded, better mattresses and a a sea view room.
