“Excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

It's not a luxurious place but has good advantages: 1) It's one block from the beach 2) the location couldn't be better - close to Carmel market, close to Ben Yehuda avenue full of small shops, supermarket, restaurants, relatively close to Dizengoff avenue and Dizengoff center (if you enjoy walking) 3) the service is excellent - hotel employees are very helpfull and speak many languages 4) the food is great - breakfast and dinner at the hotel was a blast. Don't expect a 4 star hotel, but it's worthy the stay.

“A well-run hotel showing signs of age”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Positives:
The location - Two short blocks from the beach (and within the blast radius of a truck bomb from the US embassy), with a handy laundry round the corner.

Pleasant staff, a decent breakfast, late check-out, a small lobby bar, 24hr reception, free wifi. Wifi speed is good, although mail was not functional on Apple devices. Accessing mail through Safari was possible. In fact, Tel Aviv is a highly wired city, we had no trouble getting wifi wherever we went.

A very pleasant beach nearby.

The breakfast offered many items, and was well worth getting up for. Choices included...

Pickled herring, mackerel, sardines, dolmades. A variety of cheeses.
Grapefruit.  Hummus, guacamole,
hot vegetarian dishes, eggs, lots of fresh salad items. Filter coffee, juice drink (not fresh juice), cereals, loads of yoghurt, curd etc.

Service in the restaurant and bar is friendly and helpful.

Not-so-positives:

This is an older hotel, so be prepared for small rooms, antiquated bathrooms, poor shower pressure, worn, dated carpet and furniture. It's not really bad, just not at all new. If you are in Tel Aviv to hang out in your room, go elsewhere. If you just need a place to crash near the beach and a good breakfast, this is the hotel for you.

“Enjoyable stay”

I stayed with my husband and teenage son. We had a twin room with an extra foldout bed and there was adequate space even with the extra bed. The hotel is centrally located a few minutes walk from the beach. The dining room has a covered outdoor area which was very light and pleasant and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean, modern and well-maintained. ( I noticed that the flowers in the lobby were a little droopy one morning and by afternoon they had been replaced) The decor included eye-catching photo collages of Tel Aviv . Would definitely stay again.

“By the sea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

The hotel is confortable and it's located near the beach so you just have to walk almost 2 blocks to reach it. The hotel ' s service is good but by no means the best. Be careful with the Shabbat elevator which stops on every single floor because of this Jewish holiday. The breackfast was excellent but the wi fii conection is awful. I stayed in room 1108 and I did not have internet, phoned the frontdesk several times but the answer was the same all the time: " I'm sending someone" but they never appeared. It is a good hotel but I insist ...not the best.

Room Tip: The higher the better, you know....to see the sea.
