Although I live in Israel, we wanted a Tel Aviv get away and the reviews online pointed us to the Melody Hotel. The reviews were completely correct.
The hotel is well located in Northern Tel Aviv, across the street from the Tel Aviv Hilton, and accessible to everything. We walked everywhere, including on an amazing morning walk across Independence Park and down along the Tayelet/Promenade to the Tel Aviv Port.
Breakfast on Saturday morning was perfect. No hot cooked items due to Shabbat, but a nice selection of salads, rolls, cheeses, fish, and somehow the baked items did not seem dried out and old like they frequently do at hotels on Saturday morning.
Our room was “cozy”(i.e. small) and a bit tight for three people, but everything was clean and in good taste, with great bathroom amenities and a nice sized TV with a DVD player and a wide selection of movies to borrow from the Front Desk.
And speaking of the Front Desk, like with any business, a hotel’s success can frequently be made or broken based on the staff, and here I have to say the Melody really shines. Starting with the absolutely amazing Yaron at the Front Desk (who seemed to work the world’s longest shift), the guy who came to fix our remote, and the nice woman Hanni in the breakfast room, EVERYONE was pleasant, helpful and very professional.
Nice job General Manager Galit Ilan. You have a wonderful property.
