I needed a cheap overnight stay, the hotel wasn’t too shabby! I arrived early on one of the busiest days of the year and only had to wait 20 minutes in a pleasant reception yet busy reception lounge with complimentary hot cider. The receptionist was very helpful efficient but not too knowledgeable about the area, he changed my room for one nearer the elevator. The hotel was full and bustling yet all the staff were extremely helpful.
I was on the 11th floor, overlooking the city, a large clean room with a balcony, plasma TV, complimentary toiletries , hair drier safe, fridge coffee and tea making facilities, and free movie channels on TV ( but no BBC entertainment for fellow Brits who want to keep up with UK soaps!!!)
The bed was comfortable, there was ample cupboard space ,a work station . I would have liked more power points as nowadays one travels with cell phones and lap tops that need charging, The Internet wasn’t free, and I was given a code that I could only use on one devise , there is apparently free internet in the public areas but I could only get it by the reception area. This is an area in which the hotel could improve.
I explored the hotel there is the statutory overpriced gift shop catering to the tour groups, a state of the art pool and fitness center open from 6am, (Pre book your massages prior to arrival if you are planning an overnight stay. expensive paid separately to the spa but excellent! ) If you are staying in the hotel swimming and gym is free.
In the afternoon I relaxed with an excellent coffee in the lounge, they had soya milk on request ( brownie points!) it was the same price as local coffee shops although I had to wait for service as I arrived at staff break time it was worth the wait.
Downside, the hotel staff were noisy, adding to the hustle and bussle by calling out greetings and instructions to each other in the public areas...management take note this has to be anoying to hotel guests .
Dinner was plentiful with a good selection of fresh salads, from a well prepared hot and cold buffet I am not vegetarian but I am not sure what they could eat ,but feel the hotel would help if asked. The food is good not wonderful but above average for mass catering . Breakfast is served from 7am is a good typical Israeli breakfast.
I was surprised by this hotel, considering that it is part of a chain, priced at the cheaper end of the market, I expected a motel standard, yet had a comfortable convenient overnight stay. that was more than value for money. I would use this hotel again and recommend if you want some where without luxury but with more than average services.
Room Tip: Just by location this is not a quiet hotel, but I was not disturbed by the city noises.. I travel w...
