Did a tour of Israel Holy Land and more. Stayed here for the duration and set out each morning with the bus group coming back late afternoon or just in time for dinner. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel was included in our package.

Breakfast is not your usual American one as they are Kosher so no pork (Bacon or sausages) and no combining meat and dairy. The first 4 days were without incident, decent service. Not sure what happened after that but they ran out of stuff, like cereal and weren't fast enough refilling things they were low on like coffee and yoghurt so people were standing around waiting or grumbling.

Dinner was mostly the same everyday except one day they had a chinese theme. Lots of chicken. One day they served green beans and I have to admit they were so good I went back for seconds, as did several others in our group. When you get excited over green beans that says something about the other food.

We recently stayed at the Olive tree with a group tour, the hotel is at best average. The rooms are SMALL, beds are fairly comfortable, and the food is decent. Things that are not OK, the WIFI prices are OUTRAGEOUS...be prepared to pay around $10 per day if you want WiFi access. You can buy a 1 or 2 hour time card but is only good for 24 hours...this is INSANE. Most of the staff at the hotel are nice, but some of the desk clerks need to learn a thing or two about customer service. Only way I would consider staying at the Olive Tree again is if it were with a group and there were no better options.

Great hotel. Wonderful service. Food was excellent with variety. Room a little small but very comfortable and modern.

Would recommend it highly. Don't miss the evening lectures!!

My wife and I were on a short visit to Jerusalem and stayed one night at the Olive Tree. The food was fine, and the room was clean and modern. It appeared to be the sort of hotel one uses for a 1 or 2 night stay. Bus loads of tourists seem to come a go. The place had not much character, in fact a bit impersonal.
Quiet well placed for the trolley bus if you want to go down town, or walk to the old city.
Reasonable prices in the bar. OK for a night or two.
