“Good basic budget hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Clean, simple rooms; amazing location to everything--easy walk to old city, pedestrian district next door, market and central bus station in walking distance. Staff were helpful, printed out my boarding pass, reserved my airport shuttle, found me an adapter when I thought I had forgot one. Beds were firm and not busted out like at many places. Strong wifi signal in the room.

The rooms can be noisy given the central location. I had a room just over the street and there can be late night loud conversations and bustle that can wake and keep you up. The owners offered to put me in a quieter room when I arrived and I never took them up on it, so that's my problem. There is no elevator so if you have a lot of bags you need to stay on a lower floor. The breakfast is pretty modest--there's enough to eat, but as for bread they give only sliced white. There's more interesting bread to buy in the city and that would make a huge difference. But there's coffee on all day.

Room Tip: Ask for first floor if you have heavy luggage Ask for room away from street

“Average Hotel in a Central Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

My wife and I stayed here because of the location, the free wifi and the breakfast. I would consider this to be more of a hostel than a hotel due to the size of the rooms and the overall place. The upsides are that it is central to everything and you can easily walk to the most important sites.

“Cozy and comforting............”

We did not have a reservation. What a blessing that a room was available. We had room 3 on the second floor. It had been updated and was roomy. The shower was small, but did not present a problem. Our room was clean and bright.
The lobby and breakfast rooms remind one of a small British hotel - cozy, quiet and comforting.
Coffee and tea are always available.
We loved the staff. VERY helpful and personable.
This hotel is close to the new light rail system (which gets you to the Old City in minutes), Ben Yehuda Street and the Mahane Yehuda Market. There are many very good restaurants nearby.
The hotel was quiet, but there was a lot of noise from outside pedestrian traffic until the wee hours. Use ear plugs and you will have a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Choose the second floor. It has been updated and you have less steps to climb.

“Homey and very comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

Great service, room and location! Based in the heart of modern Jerusalem, we liked this family-run hotel so much, that we decided to stay an extra night. It was no problem. The staff was really helpful and nice. What I liked most, was eating breakfast in the sun on the pretty balcony, looking out over the street. Also the relaxed and informal ambience was a big plus in a hasty city like Jerusalem. It felt a bit like home far away from home.

“Very, very, small room”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2011

This hotel is in an excellent location & is very inexpensive. Having said that I would recommend this hotel for only the heartiest backpackers. The room is tiny. The bathroom is even tinier. There were no dressers or drawers. We literally lived out of our suitcases. There was only one useable electric outlet. There was no electric outlet in the bathroom. The TV was modern & that was the only modern amenity. The staff was helpful & friendly. The breakfast was adequate & good but not at all equal to the 4 & 5 star hotels. There is no elevator but the staff was very helpful in carrying our bags. If you are roughing it - this is the place.

Room Tip: The second floor is more easily reachable but more expensive.
