We had been to Jerusalem before so knew that the Addar Hotel was in a great location and that some rooms had an extra sitting area which would accommodate our family. However the hotel was much more tired that we remembered so if you think you are going to spend a lot of time in your room then this is not the hotel for you. However if you want somewhere central to most locations in Jerusalem and want to be able to accommodate the family in one hotel room then this is a good place. We had our two boys (6 and 4) on a bed in the sitting area and we slept in the main bedroom. It wasnt luxurious and the bathroom is looking particularly tired but everything worked and there was enough space for all the bags. The hotel staff are very helpful and although breakfast was very basic, it was tasty and fresh. The Addar Hotel was opposite the American Colonial Hotel where we were having Christmas lunch, a stones throw from St Georges Cathedral where we were catching the bus to Bethlahem on Christmas Eve and very close the Palestinian Pottery where we wanted to buy some tiles. It is also a short work to the Damascus Gate and various other parts of the Old City and the Garden Tomb so it worked well for us. It also had flexible booking which enabled us to only have to confirm 48 hours before arrival which was good. Overall not the greatest hotel in Jerusalem but it suited our needs and is a good short stay in a wonderful city.
