“Low price low service”

Spent 4 nights there in the middle of may.air con wasnt working.small but friendly pool outside.breakfast is poor and the hotel has no restaurant so you need to walk across to road to a canteen look a like restaurant.
if you on a low budget its fine.way better than hostels in the middle east.
i would give 1 and a half star.

“great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2007

well its fairly basic but i have to say i had a great time staying here. lovely pool and really enjoyed my breakfasts next door. it has real character unlike some of the larger chains. Would definitely go back. Love Eilat in general and cant wait to go back. If you get the chance do the trip to petra in Jordan, a great day! Mind I went in February and it was freezing, so wrap up, though you might be lucky! There is a lot of hype about security in both Israel and Jordan but though obviously there are some problems its exaggerated and much better when you are there. Dont let it put yopu off!! Its a lovely area, especially the Negev desert, simply awesome!

“Great Hotel, Great Time...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2006

I am not a hotel expert, but the rating is underestimated. I'd give it 4 stars. First of all, it is very quiet and the majority of people were seniors, so noone bothered us. They have a secure box in the closet, but you have to pay for each day to use it. We payed, but the box didn't work. instead of fixing it, they charged us more and then they called some guy who went into our room to fix it and he spent like 2 hours and we had to wait in the room with him, wasting time. eventually we ended up hiding our money and passports under the beds (shhhhh!):))
The beds are quite small, but who are we, idiots to spend a whole day in our room. We were out the whole night, coming back around 5am , getting 2-3 hours of sleep and then going back to the beach. The beach is amazing, especially at night. So much to see, so many bars and don't forget to check out the shopping mall (if you go to the very top at night you can see the whole Eilat and the mountains of Jordan, covered in spectacular lights, it's beautiful).
-I strongly recommend going up north along the coast to the coral beach where you can snorkel all you want for an amazing price. the water was a little cold, but you get used to it.
you can also rent a water motorcycle, a water banana and other things.
- if you go west along the coast, you will find yourself in a luxurious area, where 'cool' people stay. many expensive restauraunt ....the ones you cannot afford to go into, but you can just look at them or meet cute guys who are staying in there.
- don't waste your money on King's city waterpark...it's not worth a penny
-oh, and the food! the food is average, not much variety, but very filling. breakfast was the best of all. Oh, and there is extra charge for drinks, unless you drink water:)

  • Tips/Secrets — visit arabic tent 5 minutes from the coral beach. 'The sheih' is amazing! He welcomes everyone and if you get him engaged in the conversation, you might get a free pita and tea out of it!;)

“Not Cheap and not cheerful”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 April 2006

As I said above, Not cheap and not chearful, also not very clean.
The staff, bar, one woman on reception are not helpful,
communication via panorama (travel company) was awful, not informed of any changes of flight delay and on pickup times to airport.
Breakfast (B and B) leave a lot to be desired, and the staff in the breakfast area, were most disppleased we insisted on real coffee, rather than instant, they said it is too expensive, but the hotel was really not that cheap for the week in pounds. We would not return there or use Panorama web site again. Israel is great though, thoroughly recommened it.

“DO NOT go to this Hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 March 2006

My partner and I stayed here for two weeks. At least £100 sterling was stolen from the room. Whoever stole the money also went through our personal items including my partners underwear and had access to the room via a key (staff). When reported to the hotel management I was told that I had not locked the door. Even I can manage to lock a door.

The Eilat police were just as unhelpful and refused to say the money was stolen, instead insisted it was 'lost'.

The day we left the hotel I met another couple who had at least £40 stolen, and yet another couple whose safe had been opened (the safes were small and could easily be carried).

Avoid this hotel - it has a two star rating for a reason, and even this is too high.
