We stayed in Rimonim Eilat for two nights.
Service at the hotel was great. We got everything we asked for very quickly. For example: towels and extra bedding. We were also allowed to check-in early and check-out late at no extra charge.
Location: right on the promonade, 20 meters from the beach and short distance to the mall and local restaurants.
Room:
Upon arrival, we were allowed to check-in at 12:00, and were upgraded to a suite at no cost. The room was nice and spacious, with a whirlpool tub in the bathroom. The sofa sleeper could have been of higher quality, though. There was a small flat-screen TV in each room, a small fridge and an electric pot to make cofee/tea.
Drawbacks: No mini-bar, no alarm-clock, and a safe that's too small for a laptop.
In addition, there is no internet service in the rooms (wifi or other).
Pool and Beach:
During our stay, the hotel was almost empty, so it was very quiet.
The pool itself is fairly large, but with little space around it for seating. Although the hotel is 20 yards from the beach, you can't see it from the pool due to the tall fence. Although we were told that the pool was heated, we found it to be too cold for our liking. We did like the hammocks (~10 of them) a lot.
The beach is rocky, so most of teh ground is covered by fake grass. There's lots of shade, and it's a good spot fro reading or sunbathing. The water is colder than in the mediterenean, but warmer than the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
They should upgrade their lounge chairs, as they're quite beaten-up.
Bottom line:
I highly recommend this hotel if you're planning to use it as a base for local excursions. If you're planning to spend most of your time at the hotel, that's probably not the place for you.
