“more 4 then 5 stars with a bad breakfast experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2011

For the cheaper deal price I paid, the hotel was ok,with a nice view of the red sea and the pool
from my room, centraly located infront the sea and the promonade and nice staff.
But I didn't like their breakfast:
when I went down after 07.30(it opens at 07.00),the cleaner was cleaning the floor infront of the guests,no knife and towel for the bread which was mostly dry, some of the eggs' shell were broken,only...... 1 sort of hard(yellow) cheese, and dirty coffee kattles and heaters.
some of the food items looked and tasted like few days old.
very bad.

Add to this a noisy and vulgar Israeli women in charge that morning(16 Fabruary) and the pizza and eggs maker who where late:
not very pleasent.

“A nice place to relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2011

We spent three nights at the Rimonim Hotel which is on the promenade in Eilat and enjoyed our stay. The hotel has been recently renovated and every space reflected it. Our room was large and attractive with a balcony facing the sea. The Israeli buffet breakfast was tasty and elaborate. The pool was large and the hotel does have a beach.
The staff was friendly and helpful. This was particularly the case when we had to get to an emergency room during our stay. When you leave the grounds and enter the promenade you are surrounded by stalls but in only a few minutes you are walking in the more elegant section of the sea walk. A day journey to Petra from Eilat is an astounding experience. We would stay in this hotel again.

“OK but with problems”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2011

Room
The room was very nice with new design. It looks good but it is just getting to be worn-down. The room is big enough with nice sea view and small balcony (sea star room).
Cleanliness
Well there are some problems. In the room it more or less OK but in the restaurant you really have to look not to eat from really dirty dishes.
Location
The location is great, the hotel is just next to the beach near to the city centre and the airport. There is one huge problem: there is a bazaar around the hotel with small cheap shops and very-very loud music so you cannot enjoy the beach. The hotel however has an own swimming pool which is very nice and clean.
Staff
Do not expect too much help from the reception. On the one hand there are only two people at the reception which is not enough for such a big hotel (sometimes you have to wait 20 minutes only to ask a question), on the other hand some of them are really unfreindly, unhelpful and even hostile. In some questions only one person may decide if they are not there in the hotel you shall wait 3 days for their answer.
Breakfast
The breakfast was really good and rich and delicious with friendly staff.

“A great base for touring Eilat, not quite a resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2010

We stayed in Rimonim Eilat for two nights.
Service at the hotel was great. We got everything we asked for very quickly. For example: towels and extra bedding. We were also allowed to check-in early and check-out late at no extra charge.

Location: right on the promonade, 20 meters from the beach and short distance to the mall and local restaurants.

Room:
Upon arrival, we were allowed to check-in at 12:00, and were upgraded to a suite at no cost. The room was nice and spacious, with a whirlpool tub in the bathroom. The sofa sleeper could have been of higher quality, though. There was a small flat-screen TV in each room, a small fridge and an electric pot to make cofee/tea.

Drawbacks: No mini-bar, no alarm-clock, and a safe that's too small for a laptop.
In addition, there is no internet service in the rooms (wifi or other).

Pool and Beach:
During our stay, the hotel was almost empty, so it was very quiet.
The pool itself is fairly large, but with little space around it for seating. Although the hotel is 20 yards from the beach, you can't see it from the pool due to the tall fence. Although we were told that the pool was heated, we found it to be too cold for our liking. We did like the hammocks (~10 of them) a lot.
The beach is rocky, so most of teh ground is covered by fake grass. There's lots of shade, and it's a good spot fro reading or sunbathing. The water is colder than in the mediterenean, but warmer than the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
They should upgrade their lounge chairs, as they're quite beaten-up.

Bottom line:
I highly recommend this hotel if you're planning to use it as a base for local excursions. If you're planning to spend most of your time at the hotel, that's probably not the place for you.

“First time at the renewed Rimonim Neptune Eilat - it's OK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2010

Before all the details - not a luxury , we had some trouble at start, but at the end it was quite nice, fun at the pool and good food !
NOT FOR handicapped! All the hotel has some stairs to get to other parts of it !

We travelled to Eilat with another family of friends.
My family (5 persons) got 2 connected bedrooms. Our friends got a bedroom for 4.
(kids beyween 6 months and 7 y.o.).
My firnds room was clean, remodelled and modern. Very beautiful.
Our first 2 bedrooms were horrible! The carpet on the floor was so dirty and with stains that I couldn't bare to think about my kids walking bared footed there. Specially the baby!
The sofa (opens to bed for the child) was so dirty it smelled! It had holes and it was really disgusting !
The manager agreed to change our room to the other floor, same room and furniture but no carpet... The sofa were old but cleaner and without holes... :-)
Anyway, it wasn't the best room I got in Eilat, but it had it all and was clean...
We kept receiving less towels than we were in the room, but the service was great, and all our requests were attended quickly.
We has a special room service for the baby with baby food 24 hs a day, also to pool and beach. Really nice!
The swimming pool was perfect ! Clean, separated for babies and for kids. Another for adults. it is protected from direct sun, so kids stayed in the water all day long! Also the beach was very nice.
The dinning room was a very good surprise that made the stay much better.
The food was very good, fresh, tasty and diverse. Perfect for families with kids!
