“Love it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Pros- The location is amazing! if you like quiet places, this is the place for you! It is located in between a rocky "mountain" to the sea. I recommend that when you reserve a room, you ask for one that has a view to the pool (which is amazing to itself).
The hotel itself is just beautiful! The rumor has is that it is about to get upgraded, so I guess that in the near future it is going to be even better.
The food is just perfect! soo much of it and sooo good! Every meal is so different, meaning that every breakfast has a different unique food. so delicious!
Cons- some of you might think its a pro, but I like to have other things to do, and this place is pretty isolated. If you want to go shopping, you need to have a car...

Room Tip: when you reserve a room, ask for one that has a view to the pool (which is amazing to itself).

“Conference venue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Stayed here for 4 nights for work conference.
Excellent hotel with magnificent views of Red sea,2 huge pools and scuba hire place is just 200m away with crystal clear water and coral, tropical fish in abundance
Too far from Eilat for tourists and no free wifi just doesn't cut it for a conference venue
Charging for entry to gym and to hire snooker balls seems very petty.
Great buffet meals but many staff had very limited English

Room Tip: Ensure high level sea view room

“Deep disappointment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

We arrived last Friday early afternoon. The check in was pretty fast and after around 15 minutes we were in our room on the 14-th floor. So far, so good.
At the reception they didn't bother to inform us, that the price of our stay (775.00$, half board,
2 nights, 2 adults) DOES NOT INCLUDE :
Wi-fi, unless you pay 6.5$ per hour. or 20.00$ a day!

Air-con heating - it was quiet chilly and the a/c blew just cold air. The reception's statement was that they are handling the situation. Only after 70% of the quests got mad of their handling, we were notified that in a short time we will be able to get undressed.

Batteries for the tv remote control - supplied after 2 hours stay in room.

Friday evening meal was really nice, except the fish that was served - what they call
" The princess of Nile", the cheapest fish one can find on the shelves in a typical supermarket. What a Shame!!

The New Year's eve meal was just great!!
65.00$ a person to participate in the New Year's event inclusive free local wine, glass of champagne and soft drinks and dancing with a Russian Olligarch accompanied by a bodyquard ,who were allowed to smoke by the security forces of the hotel !!!

Free shuttle to town (7miles) - last from hotel 20:00, last from town 19:30.
Timetable is just a recommendation. Actually the bus is leaving the hotel as soon as all of the
passengers got in.

The hotel is located next to the Egyptian border and the building is attractive.

“not quite royal”

Have just come back from stay in Princess hotel for weekend conference. It's good design , bad location , and strange concept of service.
Initial impression is great looks smart plenty of space and clever use of position.
Its NOT in the town it's about 10 minutes drive, there is free shuttle buss but last one was at 20:00. There is nothing close to buy snacks drinks so your "stuck" with hotel prices which I think they know and exploit! Check in easy, room clean and very big, good view, sea pool and cliff. In general staff good. There was one strange point , there is no lunches on Saturday , ( any hotel I have stayed in in Israel has large lunch on Saturday ( Sabbath) here nothing ( at first thought it was with the conference deal but when asked they said there was none , ( you could buy at pool side fast food like burger and chips. Found this strange concept.
The pool is nice to look at, good to swim in but the tiles are falling off , and in 5 star hotel expect some sort of changing facilities, was told to change in toilets! Not nice for either me or other people using the toilets someone drying and dressing as they was their hands ( not benches or pegs or cubicles).
Left luggage if you arrive early of need to check out is left in open lobby with bell hop but he is not there all the time , so it's left unguarded.
Back to location if you want to see the town this is not a good location and the last transportation at 8 pm ( during the day the frequency for the bus is hourly so it makes a visit to the town a strategic event.)
