“Deceitful and Untrustworthy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2011

We prepaid our travel agent for 25 nights, for a 2-bedded room, half-board at the Fattal Chain's Royal Tulip Eilat. We were at the hotel a couple of days when a night receptionist told us that midway through our stay we would have to change hotels as they were closing for repairs. We are not young. To make us re-pack and then get used to another hotel was more than distressing. We asked if we were to be upgraded to the Leonardo Plaza (also part of the Fattal Chain) and we were laughed at. So we asked about upgrading us to the Fattal Magic Palace. No, they wouldn't do that, either. They said we had to go to the Golden Tulip Privilege. The only Privilege was leaving there. The management of the Fatal Royal Tulip Eilat was deceitful in not informing us straightaway that it was closing during the period we were booked. We will never again stay at this hotel because of the untrustworthy management.

“haimishe place--hot mess--decent value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2011

place was ok--also stayed at the Agamim--much nicer and much more expensive. Breakfast was very good and people were loading up huge lunches to take away for later!!
Cute show with singing and dancing (free)--room was nice, not all that clean, but really ok.

COMPLAINT--for some reason, the desk help thinks that Americans are unwilling to walk anywhere more than 10 steps, I needed to go to a laundromat, and they had no idea where this was--In fact, there were numerous places in the town center near the bus station.

“great time for those who want to relax in hotel's pool”

We reserved in this hotel because there was a rate special. I actually didn't get to spend much time in the hotel because I took a trip to Pettra (very recomendable). Though my husband and kids did and they had a wonderful day at the hotel's pool and kid's playroom. There was entertainment at night also good for those who love middle-east music.

“good choice for a budget stay”

This was a very good hotel to stay for vacation. Not very big and luxury but quite clean and comfortable. 10 minutes walk from the beach. Breakfasts are pretty rich in choice though no meat products are offered. Nice pool, big enough for swimming. I would especially mention the reception managers - Yehuda and Batel - they were really of great help - friendly and caring.
